Jakarta Hosts APRICOT 2026: A Focus on AI, Cybersecurity, and Network Resilience
04 - 12 February, 2026
Jakarta, Indonesia

APRICOT (Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies) is a nine-day regional summit for Internet engineers and operators—combining technical training, tutorials, conference sessions, and community forums focused on practical Internet operations. This year’s event is hosted by APJII and concludes with the APNIC Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The program structure spans technical training (4–7 Feb), partner/community meetings (8 Feb), the main conference (9–11 Feb), and the APNIC AGM (12 Feb).

Topics you can expect on the agenda

Sessions and discussions this week cover core “operator reality” themes, including:

  • IPv4/IPv6 routing and operations
  • Routing security (including RPKI and MANRS)
  • Peering, interconnection, and IXPs
  • Data centre operations and scaling
  • CDN technology & operations
  • Network virtualisation, automation, and programming
  • Infrastructure and DNS/DNSSEC security (including KINDNS)

What’s key in 2026

Two threads stand out in this year’s program: AI’s growing impact on network work and security-by-design for modern infrastructure. The keynote lineup reflects that focus, with Budi Rahardjo addressing AI and cybersecurity challenges, Mukhammad Andri Setiawan exploring how AI-driven industry shifts affect network engineers, and Jim Cowie connecting digital preservation lessons to operator practice.

Beyond keynotes, highlights include peering forums and IXP/connectivity updates, panels on LEO network realities and resilience, a segment routing tutorial, lightning talks, and a closing plenary keynote by Jen Linkova on IPv6 adoption in enterprise networks.

Meet IPTP Networks at APRICOT

The IPTP Networks team will be attending APRICOT 2026 in Jakarta. If you’ll be there too, let’s meet up to exchange ideas, compare notes on the week’s sessions, and talk shop—reach out and we’ll find a good time to connect.
